I think you nailed it here - "These are people who take control of their lives, not necessarily changing them, just recognizing that they have control, have the ability to be creative with intent in whatever they are doing. It's about intent."

I agree that we are perfect as we are, but the problem is being aware of that perfection and enjoying it every moment. The intent part is OK, but it has to be for the love of creation and humanity and not feelings of self-importance, which is not recognition of perfection in the first place :).
