Hello Daniel, thanks for visiting my blog and introducing me to yours and your facinating work! I think I need to explore more here to learn about your process...which I will do.
You asked about my favorite drummer...well, there are so many. I would have to be remiss, though, not to say it is Jay Rosenthal who is really more of a percussionists. I would also have to add Ringo into that mix along with Mic Fleetwood.
Keep on creating...there are some cool things going on here.
Heather, nice ones! '80s and '90s alt/post-punk rock drummers certainly don't get the widespread rep they deserve. Often they're the most important part of their band's sound! Thanks for the excuse to listen to some music I paid less attention to growing up.
Randy, excellent. Session drummers are frikkin' amazing to me.
Brann Dailor - absolutely fantastic Nick Menza Mitch Mitchell Carl Palmer Neil Peart Mike Bordin "
Great list!
Dailor, wow! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jqayQGHHMhg He'd like my Randy Rhoads apparently, too. And Megadeth, Jimi Hendrix Experience, ELP, Rush, and Faith No More/Ozzy! Holy crap, good bands, awesome drummers.
Of course the usuals - John Bonham & Keith Moon are excellent.
My other favorites: Ginger Baker (Cream), Mick Fleetwood (Fleetwood Mac) with odd facial expressions & all, and also Don Henley (who isn't usually recognized as being any good, but he really is a pretty okay drummer!).
Mike Joyce - The Smiths Rob Ellis - PJ Harvey Budgie - Siouxsie & The Banshees Laurence Colbert - Ride Alan "Reni" Wren - The Stone Roses Uriel Jones - Motown Stewart Copeland - The Police Dave Grohl - Nirvana Gregory Slay - Remy Zero Stephen Perkins - Jane's Addiction David Lovering - The Pixies

Kim, thanks thanks THANKS for the comment!
Mick Fleetwood, great! Another wild-eyed one for sure.
Hmmm... My favorite drummer? Keith Moon could certainly be my favorite. Right along side with Keith would be Carl Palmer.
Jeff, yes! Good one. Definitely.
Pete DeFrietas of Echo & the Bunnymen.
Neil Sims of Catherine Wheel.
Nigel Preston of The Cult.
"Big" Paul Ferguson of Killing Joke.
Jeff Pocaro. So talented and gone way too soon.
